Mike's childhood was as ordinary as anyone, although he grew with several challenges, that was just start of what he was to go through.  After repeating the 10<FONT SIZE="1" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial" >th</FONT> grade three times, he dropped out of school and hung out with his brother Wayne and his friends.  Mike's parents tried to persuade him to stay in school, so they bought him a 1967.  What his parents meant for good, the devil turned it around for the bad.  Mike never went back to school, not knowing how to read or write; he went on with his life.</div> <div> His brother Wayne was now in prison, so Mike hung around with his brother's friends.  It was at this time he was introduced to drinking, partying and drugs.  Mike's life lead him into all sorts of night clubs to pass time and even started working in them as well.  Mike's new environment introduced him to new people, in which he started dealing drugs.  Even going to the point of taking a sailboat to the Bahamas to pick up a load of drugs.  He knew he was destroying lives of others by stealing, robbing and threatening them all for the sake of drugs.  Mike had been incarcerated several times, once for getting 12 tickets in one night and totaling a van he borrowed from a friend to go pick up drug money that was owed to him.</div> <div> The devil tried may times to take Mike's life, not knowing Mike's family and friends were daily praying for his salvation.</div> <div> A friend of his sister invited Mike one night to a tent revival.  Mike debated but agreed to go this revival in Thomasville, NC.  The Lord's plan for Mike was soon going to be revealed.  Mike went and left the first night, living the same life he had when he arrived.  However, he went back a second night, even though he really did not want to.  He sat in that service wandering in the back of his mind, how was going to kill a man who had stolen some drugs and money from him.  As that service went on in that tent, Mike was about to experience something that happens only in the supernatural world.  Mike know that all liars go to hell, but during that service he literally felt the Hand of God go through his body, through his rib cage and grabbed his heart.  The Lord lifted him up off that cold hard metal chair and started carrying him.  Mike said. <I>“I tried so hard to dig my heels into the floor to stay put.”  </I>The Lord carried him from the back seat of the tent to the front of the altar to the opposite side where the preacher was standing.  Mike saw people falling all over the place, speaking in other languages, all things he had never seen before.  Mike said, <I>“I saw the preacher come over and lay hands on me, I closed my eyes, and the next thing I knew I was on the floor.”  </I>People there told him, when he went down in the power of the spirit, he literally bounced on the sawdust floor.  Mike got up off the ground shaking the dust off he immediately felt a difference.  The peace that passes all understanding and spiritual, physical and mental deliverance was significantly overwhelming.  Mike knew that a new chapter in his life was about to begin.</div> <div> Mike went back home to ponder on what was next in his life now.  He only stayed at home a couple of days, with a house full of drugs, money and liquor; he no longer had the desire for it anymore.  He told his roommate to keep it all and left home, to go look for that preacher.  Mike new life had just begun.</div> <div> Mike knew his old life had nothing more to offer him.  So he found Brother Mike Shreeves and started traveling with him.  While assisting with setting up tents, Mike started his personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  He knew that if God took the time to save a person like himself, it was worth getting to know the person laid down his life.  Mike was aiming to tell as many as he could, about what the Lord did for him.  </div> <div> After 3 years of traveling with Bro. Shreeves, Mike went out on his own.  He bought a 40 x 60 tent and held his first Tent Meeting outside of Charlotte, North Carolina.  Mike's new life and salvation was an answer to prayer for so many.  Since Mike started preaching in 1985 he has preached God's Word in Mexico, Canada, and Great Britain.  Being in the ministry has allowed Mike to see many miracles, one he recalls was of a man who was about to go in and have his left hip replaced.  His right hip was also being eaten away by cancer.  Mike laid hands on him and immediately started jumping.  In another tent meeting in Florida, a girl who had been deaf in one ear was prayed for and healed.  The next night she brought her friend who was deaf in both ears and she also received her healing.  </div> <div> Through all this, Mike has also learned to trust in God for all his financial needs.  Mike recalls one time, he had no money on him and he had to get to Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  Before he left someone had blessed with some money, so Mike put gas in the van and headed for NC.  While driving Mike started thinking that he also had to get the pole to run the electricity to the tent.  When Mike got to his destination, everything was already in place for the meeting that night.  The Lord knew exactly what he needed and he supplied it.  </div> <div> Mike gives glory and honor to our God for everything that He has done and everything that He will do. </div> <div>      </div> <bR> <bR> </td> </tr></table></body>
